For a shop with one counter and a slow connection it is a bad deal — you pay forever, you depend on someone else's uptime, and if you stop paying you lose access to your own records.
VenStock is the opposite arrangement. You pay once, the software runs locally, and the file is yours. It is deliberately not a platform, and it does not want to become one.
Yes. You pay once and the licence for that version never expires. There is no recurring fee and no way to be charged again automatically. Bug-fix updates for your version are free. A significantly new major version may one day be sold separately, but it would never remove what you already paid for.
Yes. Adding items, logging stock, CSV import and export and backups all run entirely on your computer. Only licence activation needs a connection. After that the app re-checks periodically and keeps working offline for up to 14 days between checks, so an outage doesn't stop you working.
On your own computer, in your user profile. Nothing is uploaded to us and there is no cloud account. That also means backups are your responsibility, which is why there's one-click backup and restore, with an automatic safety copy taken before any restore.
One licence covers one computer. Pro covers up to three, which is the usual answer for a business running more than one counter. If you need more than that, email us and we'll sort something out rather than making you buy a stack of licences.
